Antti Alestalo founded Cathay Yachts in 2008. We build semi-custom yachts from modern composite materials. Our production facilities are located in Loviisa, Finland. We are a small company, and that's the way we like it. In the future, our plan is to build two boats per year.

Our semi-custom concept means that everything except the hull and deck can be customised according to customer preferences, including interior layout. In our show boat we have built our favorite layout, but we believe that every customer's needs are different, and if you prefer for example different size or layout of the owners or guest cabin, we can do it. Another example is that we don't have a standard hull colour, instead you can select it from thousands of RAL colours. To make your selection easier, we can also provide our favorite shades of black, silver, brown, blue, yellow, green, or red. We are able to customise yachts far beyond mass production companies.

We collaborate with other composite firms in Finland and Northern Europe, but we build almost everything in-house including hulls, woodwork, and most of the metal work. To verify the quality of our work, we will be happy to take you on a test ride.
